Financial Assistance
- Application: Complete the "Application for Graduate Assistantships" and return with departmental forms.
- Letter of Recommendation: Submit a third (3rd) letter of recommendation from a person who knows you professionally on company printed letterhead and return with departmental forms.
- Stipends for Graduate Students: To be considered for financial assistance, a student must be admitted to a degree program. The financial aid application and three letters of recommendation should be sent directly to the Division of Graduate Studies at the time the application is submitted.
- Status Inquiries: With receipt of application you are given an ASUrite ID and access code from our Division of Graduate Studies to check the status of your application over the web. To activate your ASURITE UserID, go to http://www.asu.edu/asurite. Once your ASURITE UserID is activated, you may access the ASU Interactive Web at http://www.asu.edu/interactive. If you are unable to access the web, contact Esther Korner in the department office. Please supply your name, ASU ID#, and year of birth. No information will be supplied without out these key items regarding the applicant. The following information can be released about the applicant: whether your file is complete, being evaluated, approximate completion date.
- Notice of Admissions Decisions: The Division of Graduate Studies notifies all applicants in writing of the admission decision. The Division of Graduate Studies cannot guarantee you will receive a response on or before a specific date. An admission offer is normally valid for one year (this varies by program). Offers of financial assistance cannot be deferred.
